Lavender Tide

Created with acrylic paint, natural pigments as well as sand and reclaimed fishing rope

The artwork’s distinct texture was created using black sand and reclaimed fishing rope, which I collected on Brittas Bay.

Cold sea-spray drifting off the dark water

meets the warmth of wild lavender along the boardwalk.

Where salt air tangles with sun-warmed bloom,

you find the perfume of an Irish summer.
