“At Midnight, the Fairies Dance in the Glen”

Created with acrylic paint, sand and organic materials from the Wicklow mountains.

The distinct look and feel of this artwork was created by using pieces of dried leaves, fern and fir needles collected in the depths of the Ballinastoe Woods.

100×75cm canvas / €955

Down through dewy grasses
Go the fairies tripping,
Dancing in the moonlight
Underneath the trees;
When the light mist rises
And the fireflies twinkle,
Soft their laughter passes
Like a tiny breeze.
Just the faintest music,
But oh, so sweet and haunting,
Fairy bells are ringing
Through the cool dim night;
Fairy feet are dancing,
Weaving shifting shadows,
All the woods are echoing
With music of delight.
